TASAI Dashboard Launched at the AFSTA Congress 2022

TASAI Inc. participated in the 2022 Congress of the African Seed Trade Association (AFSTA) which took place in Djerba, Tunisia from 28^th February to 4^th March 2022. The AFSTA Congress is an annual convening for national seed trade associations, seed companies, and other seed industry actors to discuss issues of the seed industry across Africa. It was attended by 180 delegates. The congress was an opportunity for TASAI to share outputs and to network with the seed industry players across the continent. The TASAI Dashboard was successfully launched on Tuesday 1^st March during the Plenary session of Congress. In this plenary, TASAI also gave a presentation on “Statistics on the Seed Sector in Africa”.

During the congress, TASAI met with Dr. Simplice Nouala, Head of Agriculture and Food Security African Union Commission, Department of Rural Economy and Agriculture, and Ms. Beatrice Egulu Policy Officer, Rural Economy, and Agriculture. The meeting discussed the strengthening of the relationship between the two entities. TASAI met with the representatives of seed trade associations from Senegal, South Africa, and South Sudan to discuss possibilities of conducting studies in the three countries.
