Webinar presented by the TASAI team on inclusive seed access

On April 25, 2024 the TASAI team presented a webinar entitled Measuring inclusive access to quality seeds – the why, how, and what next. The presentation was the culmination of a pilot study the TASAI team conducted in Uganda that tested a set of metrics that measured inclusive access to quality seed by women and youth (defined as age 30 or younger). The study piloted 17 indicators ranging from household decision-making, access to model farmers, and membership in community agricultural groups to see which ones showed significant differences by age and gender. We also looked at which indicators showed an association with the use of quality seeds. The recording is available online here; the final report of the pilot study will be published by IRRI later this year. To learn more about the project, visit CGIAR’s deep dive here.
